## Synopsis

The Bad Guy (2022-2024) is an Italian crime comedy series created by Ludovica Rampoldi, Giuseppe G. Stasi and Davide Serino for Prime Video. Luigi Lo Cascio stars as Nino Scotellaro, a Sicilian public prosecutor who has spent his whole career fighting the mafia until he is suddenly convicted as one of the very men he pursued. With nothing left to lose, Nino builds a patient, Machiavellian revenge plan against the powerful figures who framed him, using his knowledge of courtrooms, cases and corrupt alliances as his weapons. Claudia Pandolfi, Vincenzo Pirrotta, Selene Caramazza, Giulia Maenza, Antonio Catania and Fabrizio Ferracane round out the cast of allies, rivals and dangerous associates. The series runs two seasons of roughly six episodes each, with a self-contained, episodic rhythm built around each scheme and reversal. Its tone is cheerful, defiant and playful, mixing dark comedy with crime-drama stakes in a contemporary Sicilian setting. Fans of Breaking Bad, Gomorra and Dexter will find resonance in its morally inverted protagonist, its mafia-world menace and its sly appetite for revenge.
