## Synopsis

Knuckles (2024) is a US streaming action comedy spin-off created by John Whittington and Toby Ascher for Paramount+, set in the Sonic cinematic universe. Idris Elba voices the gruff Echidna warrior Knuckles, who agrees to train Adam Pally's Wade Whipple as his protege and teach him the ways of his people. Their mismatched partnership drives the series, with Wade's eager missteps clashing against Knuckles's stubborn pride and reluctant warmth. Each of the six half-hour episodes pairs slapstick and banter with brisk action set-pieces, and the story carries the franchise's playful energy into a lighter, more personal register. Julian Barratt, Christopher Lloyd and Kid Cudi appear in supporting roles, adding to the offbeat tone. Viewers who enjoyed the Sonic films, or fans of The Mandalorian and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, will find a similar mix of family-friendly humor, goofy action and an underdog friendship. The mood stays breezy and warm, aimed at all ages, with a modest scale that makes it an easy, lighthearted watch.
