## Synopsis

CAT (2022) is a Netflix crime miniseries created by Balwinder Singh Janjua, an Indian Hindi-language drama told across eight episodes of roughly forty-five minutes each. Randeep Hooda plays Gurnam Singh, a former police informant living under an alias who is summoned back to infiltrate a major drug empire. Abhishant Rana plays the younger Gurnam, known as Gary, whose earlier life becomes central to the story, while Suvinder Vicky plays Sehtab Singh and Hasleen Kaur plays Babita Masih, with Geeta Agrawal Sharma as Madam Aulakh and Kavya Thapar as Kimi Aulakh rounding out the principal cast. The engine of the series is a man trying to stay hidden while each assignment pulls him deeper into a network of traffickers, corrupt officers and loyalties that shift without warning. Its shape is a single continuing story rather than case-of-the-week episodes, so the tension builds steadily across the run. Set in contemporary Punjab, the show unfolds in a world of dusty roads, back rooms and tense meetings where an old betrayal can resurface at any moment. Its tone is gritty, paranoid and propulsive, with moody violence and an atmosphere of constant danger. Fans of Sacred Games, Narcos and Breaking Bad will find resonance in its criminal underworld and its hero's divided loyalties.
