## Synopsis

Scars of Beauty (Beleza Fatal) (2025) is a Brazilian soap-inflected crime drama series created by Raphael Montes for Max. Its engine is a pact between two bereaved women: a daughter wrongly imprisoned, whose mother is lost to her, and a mother whose daughter is lost to medical malpractice. Camila Queiroz plays Sofia Fernandes and Júlia Guimarães, the daughter who carries the plan, while Camila Pitanga appears as Lola Argento, Giovanna Antonelli as Elvira Paixão, and Caio Blat as Benjamin Argento. Their joined schemes against the people who ruined their families drive a single season of forty episodes, each around fifty-three minutes long, as the story moves through hidden loyalties, careful deceptions and escalating retribution. The result is a serialized revenge saga in the Brazilian telenovela tradition, with melodramatic reversals and a suspenseful edge. Set in contemporary Brazil, it has a glossy, emotionally heightened register that is sharp in its betrayals and cruel in its consequences. Fans of Revenge, Avenida Brasil and Dexter will find resonance in its appetite for vengeance, its soapy twists and its moral ambiguity.
