## Synopsis

Is It Cake? (2022-2024) is an American reality baking competition series created for Netflix, produced by Alfred Street Industries and inspired by a popular internet meme. Host Mikey Day guides skilled cake artists through challenges to build cakes that look like handbags, sewing machines and other everyday objects, where the central engine is whether each edible creation can fool the eye while still standing up to the judges. Rotating comedian judges including Fortune Feimster, Chris Witaske and Daym Drops bring playful banter to the tasting table, giving each episode a light, absurd and joyful register. The show runs across three seasons of eight episodes each, with self-contained contests structured as a case of the week rather than a continuing story. Its tone is breezy and witty, with a deadpan comedic streak that treats hyperreal cake craft as an endless source of laughter. Fans of Nailed It!, Great British Bake Off and Making It will find similar joy in creative baking, comedic hosting and the craft of imitation.
