## Synopsis

Teresa (2010-2011) is a Mexican telenovela created by Ximena Suárez for Univision and Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Angelique Boyer plays Teresa Chávez, a beautiful young woman raised in a loving but poor family who burns with resentment and an obsession with money and ambition, determined to leave her humble neighbourhood behind. Her climb drags her into tangled relationships with the wealthy and the lovestruck, and the storytelling pulls on the familiar engines of the form: rivalries, misread loyalties, secrets inside privileged households, and romantic entanglements that pit class against heart. Aarón Díaz, Cynthia Klitbo, Sebastián Rulli and Ana Brenda Contreras anchor the principal web of desire and deception. Shaped as a single 151-episode run in the classic daily-hour telenovela format, the series moves through a steady accumulation of confrontations rather than a single mystery. Its tone is operatic and emotionally heightened, swinging between glamour, heartbreak and sharp social resentment. Fans of Yo soy Betty, la fea and La usurpadora will find resonance in its blend of humble origins, ambition and melodramatic romance.
