## Synopsis

Harina (2022-2023) is a Mexican crime comedy series created by Julio Berthely, Carlos Daniel Reichel and Pedro Esteves for Comedy Central Latinoamerica. Lieutenant Harina (Memo Villegas) and his partner Officer Ramirez (Veronica Bravo) are a very special police couple who stumble into the opportunity of a lifetime while working inside a compromised Mexico City police force. Their engine is simple and absurd: a pair of unlikely cops trying to advance their careers and survive the consequences of their own blunders while corrupt superiors, the drug trade and shady influencers complicate every case. Lieutenant Edson Prieto's fellow officers, Commander Miguel Pizarro (Dagoberto Gama) and Teniente Martin Trujillo (Luis Fernando Pena), add institutional pressure around them. The series runs for two seasons and sixteen episodes of roughly thirty-four minutes each, with each episode built around a fresh misadventure rather than a single case. Set in contemporary Mexico City, it plays as a brash, irreverent and sardonic satire of police culture. Its tone mixes absurdist slapstick with gritty crime textures, and fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Reno 911! will find a similar appetite for cop-show parody and institutional bungling.
