## Synopsis

Copycat Killer (2023) is a Taiwanese crime drama series created for Netflix, a single-season limited series of ten episodes running roughly fifty-four minutes each. When a spate of grisly murders throws a city into chaos, tenacious prosecutor Hsiao-Chi Kuo (Wu Kang-ren) finds herself locked in a cat-and-mouse game with a dangerous manipulator who seems to be mirroring the killings. Alice Ko plays Yun-Huei Hu, one of the principal figures pulled into the case, while Jack Yao and Cammy Chiang round out a cast built around investigators, families and the people orbiting the crimes. Each episode turns on the pressure of a hunt that keeps shifting, with leads that double back, suspects who unsettle and a press corps that amplifies every new body. The engine is a battle of minds: the prosecutor must read the killer's moves while the city's fear and scrutiny push her toward mistakes. Tone is tense, dark and psychologically suspenseful, with a procedural rigor that rewards close attention. Fans of Mindhunter and The Killing will find resonance in its investigative grit and its interest in how a manipulator exploits attention and fear, all rendered in a grim, unflinching register.
