## Synopsis

Doppelhaushälfte (2022-present) is a German comedy series created by Christoph Mushayija Rath and Dennis Schanz for ZDFneo. Following a family that leaves hip Berlin for a semi-detached house in a quiet neighborhood idyll, the show centers on Zoe Sawadi (Helena Yousefi) and her household, with Rocco Knuppe (Hoang Minh Ha) and Andi Knuppe (Milan Peschel) anchoring the neighboring family across the shared wall. The engine is simple and recognizable: urban newcomers try to fit into a community whose routines, rivalries and small-town courtesies they barely understand, so each episode turns on everyday friction over fences, gardens, parenting and social obligations. The show runs as a five-season serialized comedy with episodes around thirty minutes, built on character chemistry rather than a single case. Set in contemporary Germany, it gives a warm, wry view of suburban life, with light satire of the idyll and an affectionate tone. Fans of The Good Life and other neighbor comedies will find resonance in its blend of gentle awkwardness and warmth. Its mix of cozy humor and recognizable domestic frustration makes it an easy, comforting watch.
