## Synopsis

Date with Destiny (2022) is an Egyptian comedy-drama series created for DMC and distributed through MBC Shahid, running for a single season of thirty half-hour episodes. Galal Ehsan Kadry, played by Akram Hosni, is an ordinary man whose life tilts sideways after an odd encounter with a stranger, because everything that is going to happen to him during the day appears written on his body. Each episode turns that uncanny knowledge into a chain of awkward and funny situations, with Galal trying to navigate work, family and social obligations while the text on his skin keeps dictating what comes next. Supporting players include Amr Abdel Gelil as Badawy, Ayten Amer as Rokia and Hanan Soliman as Mahasen, whose reactions and schemes give the story its domestic warmth. The show is built around daily episodes rather than a long mystery, so the comedy comes from small escalations and the tension between fate and free will. Its tone is light, breezy and gently absurd, with a cozy, feel good quality for viewers who enjoy a playful supernatural premise. Fans of Pushing Daisies and Ghost Whisperer will find a kindred sense of whimsy, and viewers of Egyptian family sitcoms will recognize the warm ensemble of relatives and neighbors at its heart.
