## Synopsis

The Lazarus Project (2022-2024) is a British science fiction thriller series created by Joe Barton for Sky Max. Paapa Essiedu plays George Addo, a man who wakes to find himself months in the past and is recruited into a clandestine organization that turns back time whenever the world faces extinction. Rudi Dharmalingam plays Shiv Reddy, and Tom Burke plays Dennis Rebrov, with Caroline Quentin, Vinette Robinson and Brian Gleeson in principal supporting roles. The engine of the series is George's struggle to hold onto his personal life and loyalties while carrying foreknowledge that others cannot be told about. Each episode moves through tense operational missions, shadowy handlers and rising danger, and the two-season run builds a paranoid, morally tangled story around the cost of intervention. The show spans a single continuing thread across sixteen episodes over two seasons, with a grounded, unsettling atmosphere in which every choice carries weight. Its tone is anxious and dramatic, and its themes of memory, sacrifice and fate are presented with a restrained, claustrophobic style. Fans of Life on Mars, Dark and Person of Interest will find resonance in its conspiratorial tension and time-bent mystery. It was canceled after its second season, leaving its central story unfinished.
