## Synopsis

Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire (2023) is a Japanese animated isekai fantasy series created for TV Tokyo and produced by Studio Comet. Its protagonist Inglis Eucus, voiced by Akari Kito, was a king who spent a lifetime serving his country and people, and now returns in the far future as a girl born to renowned knights. Inglis wants nothing more than freedom from a crown and the chance to train, and the engine of each episode is that focus on martial discipline, with sparring, magic lessons and early knightly trials. Supporting characters include Rafinha Bilford, voiced by Ai Kakuma, and Leone Olfa, voiced by Tomori Kusunoki, whose rivalries and friendships shape the young squires around her. The single season of twelve episodes runs at a brisk pace and unfolds as a continuing story rather than standalone episodes. Set in a far future fantasy realm of knights, swords and spells, the show has a bright, earnest tone with moments of comic energy and action-driven tension. Its wish-fulfillment premise and gender-swap reincarnation sit in the vein of Re:Zero and Black Clover for fans of the isekai tradition.
