## Synopsis

Doona! (2023) is a South Korean romance drama miniseries created by Min Song-a for Netflix. Across nine episodes of roughly forty-eight minutes each, a college student named Lee Won-jun (Yang Se-jong) finds his routine upended when he ends up living under the same roof as Lee Doo-na (Suzy), a beautiful former K-pop sensation who is hiding a predicament that keeps her out of the public eye. Their daily life is a constant negotiation between school deadlines, friendships, and the private rules of a shared house. Supporting characters Kim Jin-ju (Ahn Ha-young) and Choi I-ra (Park Se-wan) bring the campus world into focus, while the idol's past and the pressures of celebrity keep resurfacing around them. The series moves in a quiet, thoughtful register, with its tenderness built from small domestic moments rather than melodrama. Its tone is warm and wistful, with a bittersweet undercurrent about youth, ambition, and what people owe the versions of themselves they once showed the world. Set in contemporary Seoul, it appeals to viewers who enjoy slow-burning Korean romance and gentle character drama. Fans of Crash Landing on You, Twenty Five Twenty One, and Hospital Playlist will find resonance in its blend of romance and everyday life.
