## Synopsis

Porn and Ice Cream (Porno y helado) is an Argentine comedy series created by Martín Piroyansky for Prime Video. Piroyansky also plays Pablo, one of two socially awkward thirty-somethings who team up with a young con woman, Ceci (Sofía Morandi), to start a rock band. Ramón (Ignacio Saralegui) and Claudio (Javier Niklison) round out the principal cast, while Harry (Martín Pavlovsky) appears in supporting turns. The engine of the show is the band's push to be noticed, with Ceci's hustles and schemes keeping the group one step ahead of disaster as they chase a foothold in the crowded Buenos Aires music scene. Each half-hour episode mixes scrappy stunts, deadpan awkwardness, and the misadventures of musicians who lack talent but never lack nerve. The show is a two-season run with fourteen episodes so far, and it plays as a loose, serialized comedy in which the band's ambitions carry the story forward. Its tone is irreverent and breezy, with a cheeky affection for underground rock and for the hustlers who orbit it. Fans of Flight of the Conchords, Atlanta and Vinyl will find resonance in its mix of musical ambition, sardonic humor and the grit of city life.
