## Synopsis

Our Great National Parks (2022) is a five-episode American nature docuseries broadcast on Netflix and narrated by former President Barack Obama, who appears as himself in a voice-over role. Each episode of this limited series takes viewers across some of the planet's most spectacular national parks, using sweeping landscape photography to show mountains, canyons, forests, and coastlines in their natural state. Rather than following characters or a plot, the show's engine is the parade of place itself: each episode builds its own portrait of a protected wilderness, pairing sun-drenched vistas with patient observation of the wildlife and terrain that make those lands unique. The tone is reverent, warm, and expansive, closer to a hushed walk through a national park than to a rushed travelogue. Its atmosphere is calm and celebratory, with a theme of public land pride and the value of preserving wild spaces for future generations. Fans of Planet Earth, Blue Planet, and Our Planet will find the same awe-driven scale and the same grand narration here, delivered in a compact, family-friendly format suited to a single evening or a relaxed weekend of viewing.
