## Synopsis

My Uncle (2022) is a Mexican comedy drama series created by Javier Colinas for Prime Video, a six-episode single-season show with half-hour episodes. José Eduardo Derbez stars as Andy, an unemployed amateur musician who reluctantly agrees to look after his young nephew Tadeo, played by Santiago Beltrán Ulrich. Their daily life is built from small frictions: juggling rehearsals, odd jobs and the practical demands of a child who needs routines, meals and attention that Andy never planned for. Supporting roles from Ariadne Díaz as Sam, Michelle Gonzalez as Renata, Gema Garoa as Mia, Eduardo Yáñez as Billy and Alejandra Toussaint as Linda widen the circle of friends, exes and family members who push and pull at the pair. Each episode is a compact domestic episode of mishaps and small victories rather than a sprawling arc. The tone is warm, wry and gently humorous, with a hopeful undercurrent about responsibility and belonging. Set in contemporary Mexico, the series has the easygoing, character-first feel of Latin American family comedies and will appeal to viewers who enjoy the bittersweet charm of Mr. Mom and the ensemble warmth of Parenthood.
