## Synopsis

La Herencia (2022) is a Mexican telenovela created by Víctor Carrasco for Univision and Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Set on the avocado farm Santa Catalina, the story follows Sara del Monte (Michelle Renaud), a woman who arrives unexpectedly at the reading of her late father Severiano's will and discovers a family she never knew existed. Her presence unsettles the five adopted brothers, among them Juan del Monte (Matías Novoa), Pedro del Monte (Daniel Elbittar) and Simon del Monte (Emmanuel Palomares), each of whom must reckon with shifting loyalties, rivalries over the estate and the claims of a stranger who shares their blood. The engine of the series is the slow reshuffling of a household: who belongs, who inherits, and who will stand with whom. Episodes unfold in the melodramatic register of the form, with heightened confrontations, romantic entanglements and emotional reversals that play out across a single run of eighty episodes. Presented as a complete, self-contained season rather than an open-ended run, the series builds its drama from family ties and the land itself. Tone is warm, sentimental and swelling, with a rural pastoral backdrop that contrasts with the household conflicts. Fans of Pasión de Gavilanes, La Usurpadora and Dallas will find resonance in its inheritance intrigue and sprawling family melodrama.
