## Synopsis

Anna (2022) is a South Korean limited series created by Lee Zoo-young for Coupang Play, a six-episode psychological thriller drama. Suzy leads as Lee Yu-mi and Lee An-na, a woman whose petty lie sends her into an entirely different life, with Jung Eun-chae as Lee Hyun-joo and Kim Jun-han as Choi Ji-hoon among the principal figures around her. The engine of the story is the mounting cost of keeping a fabrication alive: every new encounter, every acquaintance and every bit of ambition becomes a potential point of exposure, and each episode tightens the pressure as the lie grows more elaborate. Told in a compact run of about forty-eight minute episodes, it moves as one continuous arc rather than a case of the week, building suspense through close interpersonal friction and rising stakes. Its register is tense, brooding and morally pressured, with a sustained dread of truth catching up. Viewers who enjoy the escalating deceptions of The Penthouse and the unraveling identity tension of The Girl on the Train and Ripley will find the same appeal here. The Korean drama tradition shapes its emotional intensity and polished, character-driven storytelling throughout.
