## Synopsis

Code Monkeys (2007-2008) is an American adult animated workplace comedy created by Adam de la Peña for G4. Set in the early 1980s at the fictional video game company GameAVision, the series follows a team of programmers, with Adam de la Peña voicing Dave and Matt Mariska voicing Jerry, as they juggle buggy code, unrealistic deadlines, and hapless management. Its engine is simple: the programmers want to ship a game and get through the day, while their own incompetence, the company's tight budgets, and the quirks of their tech-obsessed boss keep derailing them. Each 22-minute episode is a self-contained misadventure built from office frustration and gaming in-jokes, and the two seasons of thirteen episodes each form a loose continuing run. The look and humor lean on retro computing culture, with Gretchen McNeil voicing Mary and Dana Snyder voicing Todd and Benny adding to the ensemble chaos. The mood is irreverent, deadpan, and breezy, with a satirical edge toward corporate life. Fans of Office Space, Dilbert, and Hard Times will find resonance in its cynical, crude take on the workplace.
