## Synopsis

The Others (2023-present) is a Brazilian family drama series created by Lucas Paraizo for Globoplay. Two neighboring couples, Cibele Costa Gonçalves (Adriana Esteves) and Sérgio Nogueira (Eduardo Sterblitch), find their households pulled into a bitter standoff after their teenage children get into a fight. Supporting principals include Wando (Milhem Cortaz), Raquel (Letícia Colin), Mila (Maeve Jinkings) and Paulo (Sérgio Guizé), whose own loyalties and grudges turn a small misunderstanding into something much larger. The engine of the show is simple and relentless: each adult believes they are defending their child, and every attempt to set things right produces a new embarrassment, a new alliance, or a new betrayal between the two families. Episodes unfold as tightly plotted domestic confrontations held in kitchens, living rooms and street corners, where pride and affection collide. The show runs across three seasons of twelve episodes each, forming one continuing story rather than standalone cases. Its tone is sharp, uncomfortable and often darkly funny, with a sardonic edge on upper-middle-class parenting. Fans of Desperate Housewives and Big Little Lies will find resonance in its neighborly rivalries and its scrutiny of what parents can really control.
