## Synopsis

My Happy Marriage (2023-present) is a Japanese animated romance fantasy series created for TOKYO MX and produced by Kinema Citrus, a shoujo anime adapted with a sharp eye for emotional trauma. Miyo Saimori, a young woman whom her abusive family considers worthless, is the protagonist, and her arranged husband-to-be, the powerful Kiyoka Kudo, is voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, while Hiro Shimono plays Yoshito Godo and Hiroshi Yanaka voices her cruel father Shinichi Saimori. The engine of the story is Miyo's slow struggle to escape the contempt that surrounds her and to understand the hidden powers stirring inside her, while the household of a powerful family tests her every step. Each episode unfolds through intimate domestic scenes, quiet confrontations and supernatural flashes that gradually reveal who she truly is. Set in Taisho era Japan, the series moves through a world of formal households, rigid class expectations and old family secrets. Its tone is tender and melancholic, with a hopeful undercurrent that builds toward warmth. The series is a single season of 25 episodes and remains a story of healing and belonging. Fans of The Ancient Magus' Bride, Kamisama Kiss and The Apothecary Diaries will find resonance in its blend of romance, fantasy and heroine-driven growth.
