## Synopsis

Constellation (2024) is a German, French and British co-produced science fiction mystery series created by Peter Harness and released on Apple TV. Noomi Rapace stars as Johanna 'Jo' Ericsson, an astronaut who makes a desperate journey home after a fatal accident aboard the International Space Station, only to discover that key pieces of her life, including her young daughter, have shifted in ways she cannot explain. Jonathan Banks plays Henry Caldera, and James D'Arcy plays Magnus Taylor, two figures tied to the unsettling changes in her world. The engine of the show is Jo's struggle to separate memory from manufactured evidence while the people around her insist nothing has happened. Each episode peels back another layer of an increasingly paranoid puzzle, built on quiet domestic scenes, cold institutional settings and eerie flashbacks to orbit. The series arrived as a single eight-episode season, a tightly contained limited run rather than an ongoing saga. Its register is brooding, eerie and reality-doubting, with a slow-burn pace that rewards close attention. Fans of Dark and The Leftovers will find resonance in its tangled conspiracy and grief-tinged uncertainty, though its ending was left open.
