## Synopsis

Shards of Her (2022) is a Taiwanese psychological mystery miniseries created for Netflix, produced by MandarinVision and Gala Pictures International and told in Mandarin. Accomplished headhunter Lin Chen-hsi, played by Hsu Wei-ning, wakes from a coma into an alternate reality where the life she built no longer fits, and she must revisit an excruciating childhood trauma. The engine of the story is her attempt to understand what happened to her and who around her is hiding it, while the people in her orbit, including Patty Lee as Chen Chih-ling and Toby Lee in dual roles as Li Hao-ming and Liu Chang-yu, pull her between memory and present-day pressure. Across nine episodes of roughly forty-six minutes each, the series moves as a single continuing story, with flashbacks threading the past through the present. The tone is claustrophobic and unsettling, with a melancholic, dread-filled register that stays close to the protagonist's fractured perception. Fans of Dark, Mindhunter and The Victims' Game will find resonance in its layered mystery, its emotional weight and its unflinching look at trauma. The series is a sober, adult drama, and its shape is a contained, tightly structured arc rather than a long-running saga.
