## Synopsis

Loot (2022-present) is an American comedy series created by Matt Hubbard and Alan Yang for Apple TV. Maya Rudolph plays Molly Wells, a woman who walks away from a marriage with an eighty-seven billion dollar settlement and must decide what to do with it. Her efforts center on her charitable foundation, where she battles staff, rivals and her own inexperience, while Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as Sofia Salinas and Joel Kim Booster as Nicholas act as the grounded and eccentric colleagues who keep her projects from collapsing. Ron Funches and Nat Faxon add further workplace chaos around her. Each half hour episode is a self-contained comic misadventure set in the modern American world of extreme wealth and philanthropy, and the show runs as a continuing story across three seasons. Its tone is breezy and satirical, with absurd situations deflating the pretensions of the ultra rich while the warmth of the friendships keeps it gentle. Fans of Veep and Fleabag will find resonance in its sharp, character driven humor about power, privilege and reinvention. The show is a workplace comedy at heart, with a glossy contemporary look and a wry eye on how money reshapes ordinary relationships.
