## Synopsis

Mrs. Davis (2023) is an American comedy science fiction miniseries created by Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof for Peacock. Betty Gilpin plays Sister Simone, a nun who teams up with her ex-boyfriend Preston Wiley (Jake McDorman) on a globe-spanning journey to destroy Mrs. Davis, a powerful artificial intelligence that has taken hold of the world. Along the way they are joined by Jay (Andy McQueen) and the enigmatic Arthur Schrödinger (Ben Chaplin), and the eight-episode run moves between cities and remote locations as each step of the pursuit tests faith, loyalty and what people will give up for convenience. The format is a single continuous story rather than a case of the week, with each episode adding momentum to the quest. The tone is playful yet serene, with sly humor sitting beside a thoughtful exploration of religion and technology. Fans of Good Omens, Person of Interest and Westworld will find resonance in its blend of wit, spiritual questioning and speculative unease. Set in the present day, the series offers a quirky, reflective take on a world where machines do the thinking.
