## Synopsis

Las Bravas F.C. (2022-2024) is a Mexican sports comedy-drama series created for Max and HBO Max. Mauricio Ochmann plays Roberto Casas, a former soccer player once considered the best in the world, who becomes the reluctant coach of his hometown's women's football team to avoid prison. Ana Valeria Becerril appears as Claudia, and the ensemble includes Irán Castillo as Flor and José Sefami as Martin, along with Mauricio Barrientos as Sebastián Zulueta, known as El Diablito. Roberto's engine is simple and urgent: he must turn a shaky squad of unlikely players into champions before the legal consequences of his unpaid debts catch up with him. Each episode is built around training disputes, rival clubs, personal entanglements and the pressure of a looming deadline, and the show runs across two seasons of eight episodes each. Set in a small Mexican town, it balances earnest sports stakes with broad humor and warm affection for its characters, its tone wavering between cheeky banter and genuine hope. Fans of Ted Lasso, Cobra Kai and Coach Carter will find resonance in its story of a flawed man rebuilding his pride through an underdog team.
