## Synopsis

Here We Go (2022-present) is a British mockumentary family sitcom created by Tom Basden for BBC One. Shot as home video, it follows the Jessop family through the small disasters of everyday life. Paul Jessop (Jim Howick) and Rachel Jessop (Katherine Parkinson) anchor a household that also includes Alison Steadman as Sue Jessop, along with their grown children Sam Jessop (Jude Morgan-Collie), Amy Jessop (Freya Parks) and Maya Hughes (Mica Ricketts). Tom Basden also plays Robin Hankey. The engine of the series is the family's unfiltered candour: each member talks directly to the camcorder, exposing their schemes, job changes and quarrels, and the comic pressure builds as ordinary plans spiral into farce, including a dog-kidnapping escapade. Episodes are short, self-contained half-hours, and the show runs across three seasons with a fourth-wall-breaking, loosely continuing format. Set in present-day Britain, its tone is warm, breezy and awkward, with a sincere affection for its eccentric household. Fans of The Royle Family, Outnumbered and Gavin and Stacey will find resonance in its domestic comedy.
