## Synopsis

Blocco 181 (2022-present) is an Italian crime drama series created for Sky Atlantic, set in the multi-ethnic housing communities on the outskirts of Milan. Its engine is the coming of age of three teenagers who are pulled between love, generational conflict and the struggle for power in the local drug trade. The show follows a cast led by Laura Osma as Bea, Alessandro Piavani as Ludovico Presabellini and Andrea Dodero as Mahdi, with rapper Salmo appearing as Snake and Alessandro Tedeschi as Lorenzo. Each episode of this single-season run moves through the concrete texture of the periphery, including cocaine dealing, club nights, family tensions and the emancipation of young women who refuse the roles their neighborhood assigns them. Its tone is gritty and urgent, with a raw, street-level realism and a steady undercurrent of danger. Viewers who enjoy Gomorra and Top Boy will find resonance here, as will fans of youth-centered urban dramas that treat working-class young people as complicated protagonists rather than stereotypes. The series runs eight episodes of roughly fifty minutes each and carries an adult rating for its drug, sexual and violent content.
