## Synopsis

Meltdown: Three Mile Island (2022) is a US documentary limited series created for Netflix, a four-episode miniseries of roughly 42 minutes each. Rather than dramatizing events, it gathers testimony from people who were there: a Three Mile Island plant operator, Middletown residents such as Nicole Remsburg and Joyce Corradi, Eric Epstein of TMI Alert, and Lake H. Barrett of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Each voice describes the accident at the Pennsylvania plant and the confusion that followed, from control room decisions to the public's struggle to get straight answers. The engine of the documentary is the gap between what officials said and what residents experienced, and the lingering question of how much the utility and regulators were willing to disclose. Episodes move through interviews, archival material and the fallout on nearby towns, giving the series a measured, sober register. The tone is skeptical and mournful rather than sensational, with a clear anti-utility slant that the series tempers by letting the industry side speak. Viewers who liked the investigative patience of Chernobyl or the accountability themes of Erin Brockovich will find a similar grounded, testimony-driven approach here.
