## Synopsis

Bad Sisters (2022-2024) is a British dark comedy crime drama series created by Sharon Horgan, Dave Finkel and Brett Baer for Apple TV. Sharon Horgan plays Eva Garvey, the eldest of a close-knit group of Dublin sisters who have always protected one another from a cruel brother-in-law, Thomas Claffin (Brian Gleeson). When he dies, the sisters must hide what they have done while an insurance investigator, John Paul Williams (Claes Bang), begins probing the household. Eva Birthistle plays Ursula, Sarah Greene plays Bibi and Eve Hewson plays Becka, each sister carrying grudges, secrets and loyalties that strain under pressure. The engine is simple and sharp: a shared secret, a persistent investigator and the constant logistics of keeping a family intact. Across two seasons the stories unfold with a mix of tension and warmth, as bleak domestic cruelty is punctured by gallows humour and tender sibling affection. Set in contemporary Dublin with a strong Irish Catholic backdrop, the series carries a wry, melancholic and cathartic tone. Fans of Fargo, Shameless and Dead to Me will find resonance in its mix of crime, family drama and dark comedy. Season two continues the story at a steady, character-driven pace, keeping the focus on the sisters' bond and the moral weight of their choices.
