## Synopsis

A Galaxy Next Door is a Japanese animated romantic comedy adapted from a seinen manga, produced by Asahi Production as a single twelve-episode season. Ichiro Kuga is a manga artist whose career is going nowhere while he struggles to hold his household together after their father's death, caring for his younger siblings Machi and Fumio with money always tight. The arrival of Shiori Goshiki, a talented and beautiful new assistant, upends everything when she turns out to be an alien sent as a gift from above. The series is built from everyday domestic scenes, office deadlines and escalating romantic complications rather than a long plot. Its tone is light, breezy and warm, with a gently absurd supernatural edge and a sincere sense of family care. Ichiro's ordinary worries and the sudden strangeness of an otherworldly romance keep the mood playful, and the ending is bittersweet rather than dramatic. Fans of Kaguya-sama, My Dress-Up Darling and Bakuman will find resonance in its blend of romance, workplace comedy and manga-world detail. It is a low-stakes, comforting watch.
