## Synopsis

The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World (2023-present) is a Japanese animated fantasy series adapted from a light novel and broadcast on TBS. Its protagonist is Ray White (voiced by Junya Enoki), an ordinary and clumsy student who seems poorly suited to magic at the prestigious Arnold Academy of Magic. Principal classmates include Amelia Rose (voiced by Iori Saeki), Elisa Griffith (voiced by Nana Harumura) and Claris Cleveland (voiced by Kaede Hondo). Ray wants nothing to do with a rumor that one of the great magicians, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the incoming class, yet he keeps getting pulled into the orbit of the academy's ambitious students. The show is built from episodes that mix school life, magical training and light fantasy action, with a playful, underdog spirit set against the competitive pressure of an elite institution. The series runs across two seasons and twenty-four episodes so far. Its mood is breezy and comedic with a touch of mystery about the rumored sorcerer. Fans of The Familiar of Zero and Konosuba will find resonance in its magic school setting and reluctant hero.
