## Synopsis

Drag Race Sverige (2023) is a Swedish national-television reality competition series created by RuPaul, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato for SVT1, the Swedish adaptation of RuPaul's Drag Race. Across eight episodes, drag queens including Admira Thunderpussy, Fontana and Vanity Vain compete for the glamorous title of Queen of Drag Race Sverige. The engine of the show is the weekly threat of elimination: each episode pits the contestants against runway looks, performance tasks and design challenges, and the judges decide who is forced to leave the competition. Hosted and judged by Robert Fux, with Farao Groth and Kayo Shekoni on the panel, the series moves briskly from challenge to challenge, with guest judges appearing in special episodes. Its register is campy, sharp-tongued and celebratory, mixing theatrical glamour with genuine affection for its performers. Fans of RuPaul's Drag Race, Canada's Drag Race and Project Runway will find the same blend of fashion craft, comic judging and queer visibility. The series is a single season of eight episodes, presented as a competitive reality show rather than a scripted drama.
