## Synopsis

Vadhandhi (2022-present) is a Tamil-language Indian crime mystery series created by Andrew Louis and produced by Wallwatcher Films for Prime Video. Diligent cop Vivek, played by S. J. Suryah, takes charge of the investigation into the murder of a beautiful young woman, Velonie, portrayed by Sanjana Krishnamoorthy. The engine of the story is a push through a web of half-truths and confusing leads, as the rumours that spring up after her death threaten to irrevocably damage her image and cloud every interview and clue. Other principal figures in the cast include Laila as Ruby, Smruthi Venkat as Anandhi, and Nassar as KI Sebastian, each caught in the swirl of gossip and suspicion. The show unfolds across two seasons of eight episodes each, a serialized whodunit in which each episode peels back another layer of the social circle around the victim. The tone is tense and brooding, with a sober, contemporary South Indian atmosphere where public judgment carries as much weight as forensic evidence. Fans of Broadchurch, Sacred Games and Mindhunter will find resonance in its patient investigation, its moral unease, and its interest in how a community's talk can become a crime of its own.
