## Synopsis

Wild Babies (2022) is a British nature documentary miniseries presented for Netflix. Narrated by Helena Bonham Carter, the eight-episode run follows young lion cubs, elephants, penguins and pangolins as they learn to cope with hunger, predators, weather and the ups and downs of life in the wild. Each episode of roughly thirty-five minutes stays with a handful of animals and charts their progress toward adulthood in an unforgiving natural world, so the stakes feel personal even while the camera keeps a respectful distance. The tone is gentle and wondrous rather than grim, with tender close observation of parents, siblings and newborn struggles. Viewers who enjoy family wildlife programmes will recognise the craft of the format, which rewards patience and affection. Fans of Planet Earth II, Our Planet and The Blue Planet will find the same blend of awe and natural drama, arranged around the young animals at its heart and suited to a relaxed family evening.
