## Synopsis

Adhura (2023) is a Hindi-language Indian miniseries created by Gauravv K. Chawla and Ananya Banerjee for Prime Video. Across seven episodes of roughly forty-one minutes each, it follows ex-student Adhiraj Jaisingh (Ishwak Singh), who returns to the Nilgiri Valley School when his graduating batch of 2007 gathers for a reunion. Fifteen years after the event he has never fully faced, he finds the campus unsettled by strange happenings that seem bound to Vedant (Shrenik Arora), a ten-year-old newcomer. Principal figures include school counselor Supriya Ghosh (Rasika Dugal) and Officer Bedi (Rahul Dev), whose inquiries press on the old guilt. The engine of the story is a slow excavation: each episode peels back a layer of memory, pairing present-day unease with flashbacks to the past. The tone is eerie, tense and melancholic, with a creeping dread that keeps the campus itself feeling like a suspect. Viewers who enjoy the layered secrets of Dark, the moral tension of Sacred Games, and the uncanny child motifs of The Haunting of Hill House will find resonance here. It is a single, self-contained story told as one continuing arc.
