## Synopsis

Mo (2022-2025) is a American dramedy series created by Mo Amer and Ramy Youssef for Netflix, an A24-linked production. Mo Amer stars as Mo Najjar, a Palestinian American hustler in Texas who straddles two cultures and three languages while waiting on a pending asylum request. He works small jobs and schemes to keep money coming in for his family, with Teresa Ruiz as Maria, Farah Bsieso as Yusra Najjar, and Omar Elba as Sameer Najjar anchoring the household around him. The engine is simple and concrete: Mo needs cash, papers, and a stable future while his relatives push him in different directions. Across two seasons of eight episodes each, the show uses roughly half-hour episodes that blend brisk humor with serious immigration stakes. Set in contemporary Texas, it captures the texture of everyday immigrant life, from family dinners to street-level deals. The tone is warm, wry, and heartfelt, with moments of grit. Fans of Ramy, Master of None, and Bob's Burgers will find resonance in its mix of family comedy and social realism.
