## Synopsis

The Last Thing He Told Me (2023-present) is an American streaming mystery drama created by Laura Dave and Josh Singer for Apple TV. Jennifer Garner plays Hannah Hall, a woman whose husband Owen Michaels (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) vanishes without explanation, leaving her with his teenage daughter Bailey (Angourie Rice), a guarded girl who wants nothing to do with her new stepmother. Hannah's engine is simple and urgent: she must earn Bailey's trust and keep both of them ahead of the people hunting Owen, including a federal investigator and a reporter closing in on the truth about his past. Each stretch of the story is built from clues, hidden money, and near misses that push the two into an uneasy alliance on the run. The show runs for two seasons of serialized, cliffhanger-driven episodes, set in present-day San Francisco and the wider American West Coast. Its tone is tense and emotionally raw, with suspicion and fragile tenderness pulling against each other. Fans of Big Little Lies, The Night Of and The Fugitive will find resonance in its domestic dread and on-the-run pursuit.
