## Synopsis

Almost Fly (2022) is a German comedy-drama coming of age series created for Warner TV Serie. Set in a small West German town in the 1990s, it follows three teenage outcasts, including Denise (Paula Hartmann), Cengiz (Tyler Shamy) and Walter 'W' (Samuel Benito), who discover hip-hop and decide to cement themselves as rap legends. Their engine is a restless hunger to escape ordinary small town life through music, with every episode built around rehearsals, scrapes with local authority, and the awkward logistics of chasing a scene that seems far away. Across a single six-episode season of roughly forty-five minutes each, the show balances the comedy of teenage bravado with the tenderness of friendships under strain. Its tone is earnest and warm, leaning on nostalgia for the period's sound and fashion while keeping an ironic distance from its characters' grand ambitions. Fans of Please Like Me and Euphoria will find resonance in its portrait of young outsiders building identity through art. Its adult content is frank, with drug and alcohol use and strong language, so it suits mature teen and adult viewers.
