## Synopsis

Ted (2024-2026) is an American adult animated-adjacent live action prequel sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for Peacock. Set in 1993 working-class Boston, the series follows sixteen-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), who shares his home with his parents Susan Bennett (Alanna Ubach) and Matty Bennett (Scott Grimes) and his cousin Blaire Bennett (Giorgia Whigham). His foul-mouthed teddy bear best friend Ted, voiced by MacFarlane, is a washed-up celebrity whose moment of fame has passed and who keeps leading John toward trouble. The engine of each forty-minute episode is the collision between John's wish to be an ordinary teenager navigating high school, crushes and family pressure and Ted's reckless schemes to help him out of a jam. The show runs for two seasons and fifteen episodes, a compact run with a single continuing thread. Its tone is crude, irreverent and affectionate, with a warm core beneath the raunchy jokes and a nostalgic eye on early nineties adolescence. Fans of Family Guy, That '70s Show and The Wonder Years will find resonance in its mix of bawdy humor, teen growing pains and period comedy. Network-level adult humor makes it a sharp, profane watch for fans of the films.
