## Synopsis

Quantum Leap (2022-2024) is an American science fiction drama series created by Donald P. Bellisario for NBC. Set in the present day, it follows physicist Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) and his team, including Addison Augustine (Caitlin Bassett), Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park) and Herbert 'Magic' Williams (Ernie Hudson), as they try to restart a dormant time travel accelerator that vanished its creator, Dr. Sam Beckett, nearly thirty years earlier. The engine of the show is a mystery: when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, the team is left behind in the lab and must work out why he did it. Across two seasons and thirty-one episodes, the story unfolds in a mix of standalone leaps and a longer arc about the machine and its missing inventor. The tone is earnest and sometimes melancholic, with a patient, character-driven pace rather than breathless spectacle. Fans of the original Quantum Leap, Doctor Who and Dark will find resonance in its time travel premise and its lingering questions about memory, loss and second chances. The series was canceled before its story was fully resolved.
