## Synopsis

Fire Country is an American CBS drama series created by Joan Rater, Max Thieriot and Tony Phelan, a Jerry Bruckheimer Television production that blends crime and procedural storytelling with firefighting action. Max Thieriot plays Bode Donovan, a young convict who joins a state inmate firefighting program to win redemption and a shortened prison sentence. He returns to his small Northern California hometown, where he works alongside elite firefighters including Kevin Alejandro as Manny Perez and Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford, while Diane Farr and Billy Burke portray his family. Each episode builds around blazes that the crews must contain, pairing high-stakes rescue set pieces with the personal entanglements of men and women trying to rebuild their lives. The engine of the show is Bode's struggle to prove himself to a community that remembers his past, while his crew wrestles with loyalty, danger and institutional mistrust. The series runs as a serialized, ongoing story, tracking long-term character arcs alongside a steady rhythm of wildfire emergencies. Its tone is earnest and tense, with warmth in its found-family bonds and a grounded sense of place. Fans of Chicago Fire and Rescue Me will find resonance in its blend of firehouse camaraderie and redemptive personal drama.
