## Synopsis

Di4ries (2022-2023) is an Italian scripted family drama created for Netflix, a two-season run of 29 short episodes, each about twenty-six minutes long. Following Pietro Maggi (Andrea Arru) and his classmates Livia Mancini (Favia Leone), Daniele Parisi (Biagio Vendetti) and Giulio Paccagnini (Liam Nicolosi), the series follows the everyday drama of Galileo Galilei Middle School. Its engine is simple and immediate: a young student wants to win a crush, keep a friend group intact, or outmaneuver a rival, and each episode is built from the small social obstacles of school life, from awkward confessions to hallway feuds. Mirko Valenti (Pietro Sparvoli), Isabel Diop (Sofia Nicolini) and Monica Piovani (Federica Franzellitti) round out the principal circle, while Daniele's mother (Rossella Celati) and the school's Paolo Agresti (Fortunato Cerlino) add a domestic and institutional counterweight. The tone stays bright, playful and amused, with the emotional stakes kept gentle and the romance tentative. Season one drew the stronger reception, and the second season lost some of its warmth. The show is set in present-day Italy and suits viewers who enjoy coming-of-age school stories in the vein of Heartstopper and Skam Italia.
