## Synopsis

Alert: Missing Persons Unit (2023-2025) is an American network police procedural created by John Eisendrath and Jamie Foxx for FOX. Officer Nikki Batista, played by Dania Ramirez, joins the Philadelphia Police Department's Missing Persons Unit after her son disappears, hoping to bring other families their loved ones while still searching for her own boy. Her colleagues, including Det. Mike Sherman (Ryan Broussard) and Det. Kemi Adebayo (Adeola Role), work each case with a steady urgency. The engine of the show is the tension between the unit's weekly missions and Nikki's private, unresolved grief. Six years into her search, her former husband Jason Grant (Scott Caan) reappears with a proof-of-life photo, and the question of whether it is genuine drives the story forward. The series spans a single ongoing storyline across three seasons, with a case-of-the-week structure threaded through a long personal mystery. The tone is tense and emotionally raw, with a procedural pace that keeps each investigation moving. Fans of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, The Missing and Criminal Minds will find resonance in its blend of investigative urgency and family heartbreak. The series was canceled after its third season, leaving its central mystery open.
