## Synopsis

The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy (2024-2025) is an American adult animated science fiction comedy created by Cirocco Dunlap and broadcast on Prime Video. Dr. Sleech (Stephanie Hsu) and Dr. Klak (Keke Palmer) are aliens, best friends and intergalactically renowned surgeons whose squabbling bond anchors every episode. Their engine is simple and absurd: a clinic that must keep patients alive through anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops and deep-space sexually transmitted infections, while their colleagues, including Dr. Vlam (Maya Rudolph), Dr. Plowp (Kieran Culkin) and Nurse Tup (Natasha Lyonne), complicate every operation. Each episode is a self-contained surgical case in a sixteen-episode, two-season run of twenty-six-minute installments. The tone is irreverent, gleefully gross and deadpan, with bodily horror played for laughs and a warm, sincere core beneath the chaos. The space-station hospital setting is pure science fiction, with cosmic clutter and bizarre medical technology throughout. Fans of Rick and Morty and Futurama will find resonance in its crude humor and inventive alien worlds, and viewers of Bojack Horseman will recognize its adult animated workplace sensibility.
