## Synopsis

A Killer Paradox (2024) is a South Korean crime thriller limited series created by Lee Chang-hee and Kim Da-min for Netflix, adapted from a webtoon. Choi Woo-shik stars as Lee Tang, an ordinary young man whose life spirals after one accidental killing leads to another, and Son Suk-ku plays Jang Nan-gam, the shrewd detective pursuing him through a relentless cat-and-mouse chase. Lee Hee-jun and Kwon Da-ham appear among the principal players, and Kim Min-ju and Oh Min-ae add emotional weight to Lee Tang's world. The engine of the show is simple and tense: a panicked amateur must keep ahead of a sharp investigator while each attempt to cover his tracks digs him deeper. Told in eight episodes of roughly fifty minutes, it is a tightly plotted single arc rather than a case-of-the-week procedural. The tone blends dark comedy with a gritty crime edge, the humor rising from the protagonist's clumsy improvisation and the dread from the detective's patience. Fans of Dexter and Hannibal will find resonance in its morally gray killer and its cerebral pursuit, while viewers drawn to Korean crime dramas will feel at home in its mix of bleak stakes and sardonic wit.
