## Synopsis

Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey (2022) is a American true crime documentary limited series created for Netflix, running four episodes of roughly 45 minutes each. Rather than following a single protagonist through scripted scenes, it is built around interviews with former members of an isolated fundamentalist polygamous community, who recount the daily control, rigid religious obedience and the events that ultimately pushed them to leave. Rare home video footage from inside the group gives the testimony a raw, lived-in texture, and archive material of the community's leader appears within the frame. Each episode moves through a survivor's account and the pressures that built toward escape, so the viewing experience is one of sustained unease and grief rather than spectacle. The tone is sober and investigative, with a steady, unhurried pace that lets painful memories surface in their own time. Fans of Wild Wild Country, Going Clear and Under the Banner of Heaven will find the same blend of insider testimony, religious extremism and reckoning with institutional silence. It suits viewers who want a serious, unflinching look at cult life and the people who got out.
