## Synopsis

Strong Girl Nam-soon (2023) is a South Korean action comedy crime series created by Baek Mi-kyoung, Kim Jung-sik and Lee Kyung-shik for JTBC. Lee You-mi plays Gang Nam-soon, a young woman with superhuman strength who returns to Korea hoping to find her birth family, only to be drawn into a drug case that tests her power. Kim Jung-eun plays Hwang Geum-ju and Kim Hae-sook plays Gil Jung-gan, while Ong Seong-wu and Byeon Woo-seok add romantic and investigative tension as men around the case. The sixteen one-hour episodes follow the protagonist's brawling, a case-of-the-week rhythm layered with a serialized search for family roots and a larger narcotics investigation. Set in contemporary South Korea, the series blends a chaotic investigation with a warm, grandmother-granddaughter emotional core, mixing slapstick violence and heartfelt reunion beats. The tone is breezy and irreverent with flashes of sincerity, and the world feels like a modern Seoul of gritty back alleys and everyday families. Fans of My Strange Hero and Jeon Woo-chi will find resonance in its superpowered heroine, playful action, and family-centered warmth.
