## Synopsis

Not Dead Yet (2023-2024) is an American network comedy created by Casey Johnson and David Windsor for ABC. Gina Rodriguez plays Nell Serrano, a broke and newly single self-described disaster trying to restart the life and career she left behind about ten years earlier. When writing obituaries is the only job she can find, she begins getting life advice from an unlikely and dead source, and that spectral guidance pushes her through awkward workplace scenes and fresh starts. Hannah Simone and Lauren Ash appear as principal cast members alongside Rick Glassman, Josh Banday and Angela Elayne Gibbs, with Brad Garrett joining for the later episodes. The engine of each episode is simple: Nell's stalled ambitions collide with the mundane demands of her new job and her ghostly counsel. The series runs two seasons across twenty-three half-hour episodes and was canceled before its story was finished. Its tone is gentle, warm and breezy, with a family-friendly comic register that favors charm over edge. Fans of Ghosts and Dead to Me, along with comedies about second chances, will find a similar blend of supernatural whimsy and heartfelt human struggle.
