## Synopsis

The Beauty Inside (2022) is a Turkish romantic drama series created for FOX. Dermatologist Efsun (Cemre Baysel), a small-town doctor from Gaziantep, is summoned to Istanbul by her estranged mother, a renowned plastic surgeon on her deathbed, and must take over the city's most prestigious aesthetic clinic. She clashes with Emir Demirhan (Burak Çelik), the charming surgeon son of her mother's business partner, who doubts her motives. The engine of the story is the friction of a professional rivalry, with the two forced together as neighbours and colleagues, and a family legacy hanging over every decision. The single season of fourteen episodes is a continuing serialized romance rather than a case-of-the-week format. Set in contemporary Istanbul, the series mixes the glossy world of cosmetic medicine with the warmth of Anatolian family ties. Its tone is melodramatic and romantic, with a wistful undercurrent about appearance, ambition and estrangement. Fans of Kara Sevda and Grey's Anatomy will find resonance in its blend of romance, professional rivalry and family melodrama.
